Is your store stocked with the right spirits?
Often when people think of St. Patrick’s Day drinks they’ll think of Green Beer, Irish Whiskey, Irish Mist and of course Baileys Irish Cream. Though a great start there are so many popular mixed drinks for your customers’ St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. We’ve listed out five we found to be on many people’s list of favorites. Let us know what drinks you find popular in your area!
Emerald Isle Cocktail
This cocktail has been seen all over, with little variation. It is a mix of gin, green creme de menthe and Angostura bitters. This drink is as potent as it is green! With the unusual flavor combination of juniper, herbs and citrus it’s sure to make an impression.
Mules have become very popular. This twist has been known by many names based on the occasion and there’s a reason for that: it’s just that well liked. Replace the Vodka of a traditional Mule with Irish Whiskey to make it St. Patrick’s day focused and mix in the ginger beer and lime for a sweet, spicy and refreshing drink.
Old Thyme Sour
While we are nodding our heads to the classics, we’d be remiss if we forgot to mention the Old Thyme Sour. A classically styled sour drink featuring Irish whiskey, St. Germain, Green Chartreuse, cinnamon-thyme syrup, lemon, bitters, egg white, and thyme. This award winning mixed drink is as fun as it is tasty.
Baileys Espresso Martini
This sweet and creamy Martini has its roots in the more traditional Irish Coffee. A tall, elegant glass filled with Baileys Irish Cream and Vodka mixed with cold espresso puts a buzz in the St. Patrick’s Day party.
We couldn’t leave off without at least mentioning one shooter! This Hammer is a mix of Jack Daniel’s, Irish Mist and Bailey’s. Mention it to your customers and ask them if they like it! They may be buying most of the ingredients from you already. You could do more than add to their purchase, you will be starting a conversation that can lead to greater loyalty and increased sales over time!
